Robyn O'Neil and Spencer Tunick: People Patterns

The idea of working with pattern and repetition (especially regarding the figure) reminded me of two very different artists, Robyn O'Neil and Spencer Tunick who arrive at a similar location. The mood of their work is very different. O'Neils graphite drawings are ominous and the vulnerability of her figures places them in great peril and strife. Tunick's work is lighter and despite their nudity we don't sense that these figures are in any immediate danger of being swallowed up by the perils of life and the harshness of the natural world. A few images will help illustrate the comparison.
